Statutory Functions
The statutory functions of CROSPIL are encapsulated in the Memorandum and Articles of Association (MEMART). These include but not limited to the following:
1. To carry on business as a real estate development company in all its ramifications, and in that regard, acquire, design, construct, reconstruct, and maintain estates, residential buildings, shopping complexes, office complexes and warehouses.
2. To carry on business as an investment company and for that purpose, invest, acquire and hold either in the name of the company or in that of any nominees, shares, stocks, debentures, bonds, obligations and securities issued or guaranteed by the company.
3. To acquire, build and let, lease or sell commercial high rental properties, flats, low and middle income houses, shops or shopping complexes, factories, offices, workshops, warehouses and any other type of structures generally.
4. To carry on business as building contractors, suppliers of building materials and to engage in road, bridge and other construction works such as housing, hospitals, schools, recreation houses, hotels, water dams, and maintenance services thereof and property development.
5. To carry on in all other respective branches all or any of the business of builders, masonry and general construction and among other things to construct, execute, equip, improve and develop roads, ways, dock, harbours, canals, dredging, wharves, embankments, reclamation, building and erection of every kind to carry out research, design, development of detail drawings on buildings, engineering, construction as principals, contractors or partners to any government, organization or persons and to carry on any other businesses that are customarily or usually carried on in
6. To carry on the business of consulting engineers, planners, designers, contractors, supervisors, administrators, agents, experts, advisers and project managers.
7. To carry on the business of forwarding and clearing agents in all its ramifications and to act as shipping agents, commission agents, custom agents, aviation consultants, storekeepers or otherwise on behalf of any firm or company whether local or foreign.
8. To carry on the business of marketing, manufacturing and distributing of paints, thinner, glue, abrasive, including all industrial and general products and to import chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical products and other things capable of being used for the purpose of the business of the company.
9. To carry on the business as printers, stationers, advertising agents, news agents, distributors of foreign and local magazines, newspapers, books, library and office equipment.
